Cliff Richard’s fans were rubbing shoulders with celebrities at a charity party in honour of the star's 60th birthday.
The evening raised over £150,000 in ticket sales, with a charity auction led by Sir David Frost raising £25,000.
Three Cliff Richard items were included in this auction: original artwork for the Antigua postal stamp first day cover, which raised £1,000, A Cliff photo, to be signed by Cliff that evening, raised £3000 and the waistcoat Cliff wore at the Queen's 40th Anniversary Gala which went for £9,750. A check was also presented to Cliff for The Roy Castle Foundation for £500,000 from Littlewoods, which, combined with OK Magazine's contribution brought the total money raised to in excess of £1million.
