1974: The London Palladium announces that Cliff Richard will headline a season at their theatre in the Spring.
The Duchess of Gloucester presents Cliff with “Silver Clef” award for outstanding services to the music industry at the second annual Music Therapy Committee luncheon.

1975: March 14th, Cliff Richard’s 63rd single “It's Only Me You Left Behind” / “You're The One” (EMI 2279) is released.

1976: Cliff Richard’s visit to the USSR (Soviet Union) is postponed.

1977: Cliff Richard spends 3 weeks in South Africa.
“Every Face Tells A Story” (EMC 3172) album is released.
“Every Face Tells A Story” peaks at No.8 in the U.K. Albums chart.
The International Cliff Richard Movement magazine “Dynamite” reports that Cliff’s Tear Fund concerts in 1976 raised over 37,000 Pounds, providing six vehicles for Argentina, Yemen, Nigeria, Haiti and Burundi, also a generator for a hospital in India, a rural development center in Kenya and a training center in Zaire.

1978: Mike Read interviews Cliff Richard at the London Palladium for Radio Luxembourg.
EMI Records host a special honorary dinner for Cliff Richard in London.

1979: Cliff Richard’s 74th single “Green Light”/“Imagine Love” (EMI 2920) released. It is produced by Bruce Welch.

1980: Cliff Richard appears at Royal Albert Hall at the “Sing Good News” event, honouring the top writers in the contest organized by the Bible Society. Cliff sings
“Why Should The Devil Have All The Good Music” and “When I Survey The Wondrous Cross”.
Cliff recorded his vocals for the duets with Olivia for “Suddenly”.
ITV’s ‘Pop Gospel’ series begins, in which Cliff appears in two programmes.

1981: “Cliff In London” screens on BBC TV.
Cliff Richard’s first UK video “The Young Ones” released.
While on tour of USA in Hollywood, a truck loaded with equipment and instruments worth 40,000 Pounds is stolen.
Cliff’s first date of USA tour opened at the Paramount Theatre, Seattle, among songs included are “Move It”, “Green Light”, “Dreamin’ ”, “Miss You Nights”, “A Little In Love”, “Devil Woman”, “The Rock That Doesn’t Roll”, “Do You Wanna Dance” and “We Don’t Talk Anymore”.

1982: Cliff Richard appears in Los Angeles and New York.

1998: On March 1st, Cliff Richard played the first of two nights in Perth on the 40th anniversary tour.

2002: Papillon Records has announced that “Let Me Be The One” is to be the second single released from Cliff Richard’s latest hit album “Wanted” on 1st April. The other songs on the CD are “ I Got A Woman” is taken from EMI’s “Live At The Kingston 1962” and  “This Can’t Be Love-My Funny Valentine” which was recorded live during Cliff Richard’s “Off The Road” in May 2001 at The Royal Albert Hall.
Sir Cliff Richard’s ITV Special video “The Hits I Missed” released by VCL. The video includes all tracks from Cliff’s “Wanted” album
and it also features special guests Atomic Kitten and Steps. 

2003: Sir Cliff Richard’s “Wanted Tour” concert on 12th March 2003 at Impact Arena, Bangkok. 
The evergreen and fresh Cliff Richard appeared on stage, dressed in a silver-blue silky suit, and white & blue stripe shirt, he kicked off with his best selling single from 1979
“We Don’t Talk Anymore” and his first hit from 1958 “Move It”. The next is his latest hit from “Wanted” album “Somewhere Over The Rainbow-What A Wonderful World”. Cliff moved into romantic mood with his 1963 hit “Constantly” and then rocked with Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got To Do With It?”, this song was sent to Cliff for recording, but was sent back by his office. Next was Cliff’s very popular hit in Thailand & Asia “Evergreen Tree”, followed by his first No.1 “Living Doll” and “Like Strangers” from Wanted” album. Then he moved into romantic mood again with his hit from the film “The Young Ones” with “When The Girl In Your Arms Is The Girl In Your Heart”. Cliff’s classic hit “Some People” from “Always Guaranteed” album was next and followed by “Miss You Nights” and “Devil Woman” from “I’m Nearly Famous” album. The first half ended with “Early In The Morning” and “Dreamin’ ”.
After the intermission Cliff appeared on stage dressed with blue and pink shirt and black leather pants with sunglasses, he sings “Born To Rock ‘N’ Roll” and “Do You Wanna Dance”. Then Anthony Clarke joined Cliff on stage for The Everly Brothers' hit “Claudette”. Next are his early hits medley “Gee Whiz It’s You-I Could Easily Fall (In Love With You)” and a tribute to Elvis with “Too Much-Don’t Be Cruel”, followed by “Summer Holiday” and “The Young Ones”. Cliff Richard's backing vocal group: Peter, Keith & Mick sang a medley of Cliff’s hits “Green Light-Devil Woman-Carrie”. Cliff came back on stage he had changed into a green and black metallic shirt, and sang “Wired For Sound”, “Be Bop A Lula” and “No Particular Place To Go”. Cliff then sang Doo Wop medley from late ‘50s with “Come And Go With Me-Dream Lover-Since I Don’t Have You”, followed with “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On”. The last numbers were Cliff’s 1968 Eurovision hit “Congratulations” with fans singing along and his millennium hit “The Millennium Prayer”, and that’s the end of show; it’s a wonderful and an excellent performance by Sir Cliff Richard.

On 13th March, after his final concert of the “World Tour”, in Bangkok, Cliff visited a charity project, which helps street children.
Ian Samwell, the original Drifter and who composed “Move It” for Cliff Richard, died at his Sacramento, California home on 13th March.
The stage musical based on Cliff Richard’s 1963 hit film “Summer Holiday” is returning to the stage on 3rd April at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth until 9th August at The Grand Opera House, Belfast.
The musical “Summer Holiday stage show includes Cliff’s hits, “The Young Ones”, “Gee Whiz It’s You”, “Bachelor Boy”, “On The Beach”, “In The Country”, “A Swinging Affair”, “Do You Wanna Dance”, “I Could Easily Fall”, “Constantly”, “Big News”, “Summer Holiday”, “La La Song”,  “Time Drags By”, “Dancing Shoes”, “I’m The Lonely One”, “Living Doll”, “The Next Time”, “ Seven Days To A Holiday”, “Les Girl”, “We Say Yeah”, “Round And Round”, “Let Us Take You For A Ride” and “Is It Still Raining?”
Peter Pan of pop Sir Cliff Richard will head a list of famous faces at the concert for British soldier.
The concert will be put on DVD before being shown to 50,000 of our British troops in the Middle East.

2005: Sir Cliff performed a concert in Barbados on 11th March, in aid of a local children's charity, to an audience of around 3,000. 
EMI released the re-mastered CD and the first-time DVD of “Oh Boy / The Event” on 21 March.

2007: EMI released remastered CDs of “Small Corners”, “Cliff Live At The Talk Of The Town”, Help It Along”, “Established 1958” and “Cliff In Japan”.

1998: On Thursday April 23rd, it was time for the "Dutch Edison Award Gala". Cliff received a ‘Lifetime Edison Award’ for all records, hits and performances in the past 40 years. Cliff sang a medley of "We Don't Talk Anymore" and "Some People".

2000: Cliff Richard appear on ‘Top Ten’ TV series.

Sir Cliff Richard appears on ‘Songs Of Praise’ to mark 50th anniversary of Billy Graham’s preaching crusade in London, Sir Cliff sings “It Is No Secret” and explains why he sang that song and chose to make his faith public at a Billy Graham rally in 1966.


2005: Sir Cliff Richard spent a week travelling in India with his friends and visited Agra, Jaipur, Pune, and Mumbai.
He also visited Dubai for a few days before returning to the UK.
On Saturday 9th April, Cliff attended the Grand National with friends.

2006: April 20th Cliff Richard with friends and CRO staff, attended a dinner in his honour at the Portuguese Embassy in London, where he was invested as a 'Commander of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator', in recognition of his personal and business involvement in Portugal over the past 40 years.
